Come work as a Project Manager Facilities Planning with Vancouver Coastal Health VCH Reporting to the Manager Planning and Projects or designate the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting the planning design implementation of assigned mid-range facilities projects of moderate scope complexity across Vancouver Coastal Health VCH including project planning project management communications contract management Oversees assigned staff provides leadership by directing work teams contractors consultants needed on a project-by-project basis As a Project Manager Facilities Planning with Vancouver Coastal Health you will manage plan implement facilities projects moderate scope complexity stages through completion provide support conveying policies priorities resolving issues escalating appropriate level meet project deliverables timelines Function single point contact assigned projects Liaise internal external stakeholders convey information respond queries concerns regarding project status design construction matters frequent clear concise reports ongoing issues progress challenges opportunities Carry out plans established departmental methodologies systems successful coordinated completion components facilitating consensus stakeholders Monitor charter plans budget scope schedule expenditures client satisfaction risks variances impacts deliverables make recommendations departmental leadership mitigate cost overruns maintain adherence allocated budgets timelines ensure delivery successful project Participate meetings throughout lifecycle seek input stakeholders physicians staff Infection Control Housekeeping external users all stages attend lead construction meetings manage issues problems schedules direct activities required represent health authority interests resolve problems document meeting outcomes decisions follow-up actions completed timely Coordinate develop business plans assigned projects conducting feasibility studies analysis solution development documentation charters identifying functional requirements scopes documenting concepts reviewing budgets implementation schedules ensuring consistent user needs expectations Support site space planning committees develop strategies managing pressures recommending options improve operation efficiency effectiveness impacted units Manage planning preparation by liaising clinical planners equipment planners consultant user groups assigning reviews schematic designs documents specs functionality attainment program facility needs adherence technical standards efficiency cost-effectiveness best practices energy environmental sustainability building code compliance Sign drawings changes within limits maintaining current copies drawings manuals proposals archived materials protocols Participate consultant selection tendering administering contracts overseeing performance consultants contractors obligations deliverables payments arranging procurement furniture minor equipment implementing projects Liaise municipal departments geographic areas supported Organizations obtaining permits assigning scheduled shutdowns power interruptions operational requirements Identifying communicating mitigating risk management issues Monitor safety infection control mitigation protocols contractors organizational staff reporting exceptions corrective action leading operational commissioning decanting moves providing coaching mentoring supervision duties accordance health safety immediately reporting unsafe situations notifying supervisor personnel Performing related duties assigned>
