ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Benchmark International is an Edmonton-based manufacturer. We have a proud 25-year history as both a manufacturer's representative and a manufacturer. Currently, we manufacture a variety of products including gas separation equipment and environmental monitoring equipment. Our products are used by customers around the world. We have ambitious production targets to satisfy significant customer demand.
It is critical to us that we deliver on our commitments to our customers and that products ship on time and in full.
The Shipper Receiver plays an important role in ensuring that production goods are swiftly and properly received and that finished products and parts are shipped to customers in an timely and efficient manner.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Supervisor of Business Services, you will be responsible for shipping and receiving of all goods entering and leaving the facility.
You will receive goods according to our documented process and procedures ensuring that the received goods match the purchase order.
You will also be responsible for shipping of goods to our customers and vendors with appropriate packaging and documentation. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment and excel at balancing multiple priorities simultaneously, this role will appeal to you.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shipping and receiving of orders in accordance with the corporate quality system expectations
- Verify quantities to customer orders, documentation (MTR's/MRB's) and packing lists and notify Purchaser of any inconsistencies
- Preparing pertinent documentation for shipment of domestic goods
- Picking and packaging orders (boxing and crating)
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and/or standard and provide appropriate documentation as required
- Arranging pickups and deliveries
- Loading/offloading support of all shipments
- Warehouse and inventory support with restocking, cycle counting and yearly inventory count
- Maintain a clean working environment including sweeping, snow shoveling and maintaining a driver safe lane and dock area
- Communicate and interact effectively with people

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a genuine and passionate person.
An individual that is positive and enthusiastic and enjoys balancing multiple competing priorities with the goal of internal and external customer satisfaction.
It would be great if you had the following experience and qualifications:- Forklift operation and ticket
- 5 years of shipping and receiving experience
- International shipping experience would be an asset
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods
