Note: This position is located at: 130 Dundas Street, London, Ontario.

Note:This is a regular part-time Support position (up to 24 hours per week).
Part-time Support Staff employees, as defined by the part-time Support Staff Collective Agreement, will be given first consideration.

Duties: Under the supervision of the Lab and Downtown Campus Operations Manager, the incumbent will support culinary-related STHCA operations. This includes the day-to-day care and maintenance of equipment in the labs, monitoring the inventory and reporting of deficiencies in the labs, and providing assistance within the labs and with culinary-related events for the School and College, as well as The Chef's Table while adhering to and enforcing prescribed health and safety practices.
Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent education
  • Red Seal Certificate of qualification preferred
  • Safe Food Handling and Smart Serve certification required
  • Minimum 10 years' experience monitoring others in a culinary setting or equivalent
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a professional food service operation
  • Excellent organization, coordination and planning skills as well as strong collaborative and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate well both orally and in writing
  • Experience in fastpaced kitchens with strong product knowledge of food and beverages
  • High aptitude in math conversions and extensions
