    Branch Administrator/Commodity Buyer

    Red Deer, AB Full-time

    BRANCH ADMINISTRATOR/COMMODITY BUYER

    Reportingto the Branch/Operations Manager, the Branch Administrator/ Commodity Buyer isresponsible for purchasing goods and coordinating activities related toprocuring at the branch level. In addition to procurement, duties includeadministrative functions for the Operations Department.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES:

    Withoutlimiting the generality of the foregoing, the Branch Administrator/ CommodityBuyer is responsible for performing the following tasks:

    BRANCH ADMINISTRATION

    ·Orderly flow of all Branchpaperwork (packing slip, invoicing, etc.)

    ·Reviewing and correctingcosting of all inventory P.O's and transfers

    ·Monitoring and data entry ofwarehouse and delivery damages, as well as sales promotion items on a weeklybasis and month end.

    ·Monitor and investigateinventory discrepancies thoroughly to the satisfaction of the BranchManager.

    ·Ordering of all branchstationary and supplies, postage, etc..

    ·Maintain accuracy of companyforms for Sales and Operations departments.

    ·Coordinate inventory record ofall computer and electronic equipment with IT within the branch.

    ·Ensure that all officeequipment is functional.

    ·Coordinate with Vendors forcleaning of office equipment when required.

    ·Sort, date stamp, anddistribute incoming and outgoing mail.

    ·Filing of customer invoices,packing slips, transfers, supplier returns and adjustment batches

    ·Petty Cash reconciliation,maintaining petty cash balance and float for the cash registers.

    ·Follow and enforce companypolicies and procedures.

    ·Responsible for preparing bankdeposits and taking them to the bank.

    ·Receptionist relief for breaksand coverage for illness/booked time off

    ·Inventory preparation

    ·Participate in and record forthe regular Branch manager meetings

    ·Branch advocate for gathering& submitting goals and objectives for the branch and accurate trackingthereof.

    ·Generating reports forinsufficient and inventory control

    ·Responsible for time sheetapprovals for warehouse and delivery personnel

    ·Travel between the 2 branchesas assigned.

    ·Updating and monitoringhours for hourly employees.

    ·Additional duties may beassigned by the Branch Manager.

    COMMODITY BUYING

    ·Responsible for the purchase of all resaleinventories at the branch level, not covered by Central Purchasing. Wouldinclude showroom product, bulk buys, winter booking.

    ·Investigates and deals with "InventoryDiscrepancies"

    ·Material returns

    ·Issues vendor purchase orders as required andexpedites same.

    ·Arrangefreight for all Special/Stocking items needed for Sales Department.

    ·Assist SalesTeam in forecasting and acquiring product needed for upcoming projects.

    ·Vendor Credit Requests

    ·Print and analyze blue and purple SKU reports

    ·Ensure that special orders meet companycompliancy (Max 30 days)

    ·Eliminate non-stock SKU's through whatsoevermeans the branch manager directs

    ·Ongoing communication and development of"Action Plans" with the Branch Manager regarding entire inventory managementprocess.

    ·Quarterly review of all stocking SKU's andspecifically the reset of the "Reorder Points" and maximum stocking quantities

    ·All E1/E2 vendorcommunication.

    ·Daily Printing and review of the "Low Inventory"report and implementation of necessary course of action

    ·Physical inspection of all inventories in theoperations department minimum once a week,.

    ·Management of stocking SKU so as to achieve"maximum" inventory turns.

    ·Additional duties may be assigned by theOperations Manager.

    ·Review, approves, process "Branch Transfers"requests for inventory (out only)

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Minimumtwo years warehouse administration experience preferably in the building supplyindustry

    ·Purchasing/CommodityBuying experience is a requirement

    ·Strongworking knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

    ·Musthave excellent verbal and written communication skills

    ·Paperflow volume is extremely high in this position, strong administrative skillsare imperative.

    ·Mustbe able to demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks based on relative importanceand urgency

    ·Attentionto detail and accuracy
