Responsibilities

Classroom Instructor:

  • Schedule and deliver classroom instruction.
  • Establish an open and creative learning environment.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions.
  • Coach students on program material.
  • Administer written tests and vision screening.
  • Administer and grade assignments.
  • Use Driver Education software to maintain student progress.

In-Car Instructor:

  • Schedule and conduct weekly incar driving lessons.
  • Establish an open learning environment.
  • Coach students on program material.
  • Use Driver Education software to maintain student progress.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of vehicle.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Class 5 Driving Instructor permit or willingness to obtain.
  • Class 5F licence for at least three years.
  • Satisfactory driving record.
  • Clean Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry check.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management skills and ability to manage schedule independently.
  • Experience facilitating presentations in large group settings is an asset.
  • Experience teaching or coaching youth is an asset.
  • Professional driver experience is an asset.

Other

  • Work hours: days, evenings, and weekends (outside of school hours).
  • Required to maintain a valid Class 5 Driving Instructor permit.
  • Computer and/or smartphone with access to internet required.

Job Type:
Part-time


Salary:
$20.00-$44.50 per hour


Schedule:

  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
