    About Us:

    Charger Logistics is a world-class asset-based carrier specializing in delivering assets on time and budget.

    We offer a diverse fleet of equipment to handle various types of freight, including dedicated loads, specialized hauls, temperature-controlled goods, and HAZMAT cargo.

    Job Description:

    As a Claims Analyst, you will work closely with our safety department to provide claim handling services and support, as well as collaborate with drivers to ensure they return to the road after an accident.

    You will serve as a liaison between Charger Logistics and our insurer/insurance company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate and adjudicate complex claims, including those in litigation, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee the investigation, evaluation, and resolution of bodily injury claims involving company vehicles or drivers.
    • Prepare detailed file summaries for internal reporting, large loss assessments, and reinsurance purposes, ensuring all pertinent information is accurately documented.
    • Ensure all bodily injury claims are handled in accordance with industry best practices and company policies.
    • Adjust physical damage claims, including unreported damage claims.
    • Negotiate directly with insurance company adjusters, claimants, and third-party claimant representatives upon receipt of critical information.
    • Discuss accidents, damage, preventability, and processes with commercial vehicle operators.
    • Maintain files for litigation, subrogation, physical damage, liability, and workers' compensation claims.
    • Report claims and accidents as necessary.
    • Be available on-call for nights and weekends for serious accidents and other duties as necessary.
    • Select, direct, and manage vendor relationships, including towing companies, body shops, garages, and parking/storage yards, to obtain accurate costs for claim settlement.
    • Update and post payments for repairs.
    • Order police reports, set up new claim files, confirm losses to insurers, and brokers.
    • Communicate with the Claims team, Safety/Compliance team, and others as necessary on relevant items.

    Requirements:

    • Post-secondary education in an Insurance program or related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in trucking, claims, or safety and compliance preferred.
    • Experience with commercial lines and transportation liability.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
    • Strong multi-tasking, time-management, customer service, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
    • Ability to remain calm in crisis situations.
