_ Internal Control Manager_

General Role

Main responsibilities

Training and Development

  • Work with any concerned departments to update policy manuals and other documentation to ensure immediate compliance by all staff involved.

Compliance and risk management

  • Implement a riskbased approach to monitor and assess the risk of compliance with the Group procedure as well as the local regulations
  • Make sure that Group instructions related to Fraud prevention are in place and to conduct awareness sessions at subsidiary level
  • Complete Group I/C questionnaire validation process (store, corporate and treasury)
  • Conduct various non compliance investigations in store

Internal control reviews

  • Ensure all internal control selfassessments are properly done at both sore and corporate level,
  • Conduct regular and indepth reviews of stores and head office departments to ensure that strong internal controls are in place and makesure action plans are designed and implemented
  • Actively engage with internal and external auditors
  • Follow up on audit/internal control recommendations to ensure consideration and resolution of all relevant risks and audit findings
  • Conduct data analysis on sensitive transactions

Security and stock accuracy monitoring

  • Closely monitor the risks on assets (cash, stock, fixed assets, etc.)
  • Lead the stock take organisation in stores and overall supervision of the processes and results
  • Monitors the operational shrinkage (thefts, loss, inventory discrepancies etc.) with security teams

Profile:


  • Ideally over 5 years experience within a similar position in a multinational group or delivering similar services via Big 4 accounting firms
  • Experience in risk advisory, in a retail industry is preferred
  • Strong sense of responsibility and organizational skills
  • Dedication, commitment, personal initiative functioning
  • Excellent manners and communication skills.
  • Capacity for being creative and adaptive
  • Good knowledge of information systems in general, data analysis, knowledge of SAP and/or CEGID would be a plus.
  • Strong experience and interest for how technology and systems can support internal control effectiveness and efficiency
  • Able to use data analytics where possible to enhance and continuously improve the design and operating effectiveness of the controls
  • Adaptable to working in a fast paced, everchanging environment with flexibility in resolving issues and addressing changing priorities.
  • A positive mindset for collaboration and strive for continuous improvement and optimization.
  • French verbal and written skills would be highly beneficial
