    Description

    Tactical Security Guard, Weekday Afternoons

    If you are looking for an exciting opportunity in the security industry this is the one for you As a tactical security guard in a downtown urban environment, you will play a key role in keeping patrons safe, deterring unwanted activity and working with a variety of individuals including the vulnerable. Successful candidates will have a calm but assertive demeanor and be able to practice excellent customer service skills at all times. This position requires an ability to manage many different personalities while maintaining composure and utilizing your ability to communicate effectively to positive outcomes. This opportunity is the perfect position for someone looking to grow a career in security or move to a policing role that also provides a great work/life balance.

    Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday and Friday

    Pay Rate: $18.50 Starting - $20.00/Hour Following successful completion of training and probation.

    • What does a Security Guard in Barrie do?

  • Patrol the client's site on foot, both indoors and outdoors
  • Prevent unwanted activity such as loitering, vandalism, drug and alcohol use
  • Detailed report composition and documentation for submission to the client for follow up and resolution
  • Remove individuals violating rules and by-laws from site

    • Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Barrie

  • A valid security guard license and first aid card
  • Available to work flexible hours
  • Be eligible to work in Canada
  • 6 months security experience or relevant education such as Police Foundations
  • Comfortable working in downtown, urban environment both indoors and outdoors
  • Previous certification in NVCI, Use of Force or both would be an asset, but not required
