Description
As a Gym Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of a gym facility. You will ensure the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained while providing excellent customer service to members.

Your role will involve managing staff, developing and implementing operational procedures, promoting gym memberships, and maintaining a positive and motivating environment for both staff and members.


Key Responsibilities:


1.

Facility Management:


  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the gym facility, ensuring it meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Coordinate regular equipment inspections and maintenance, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
  • Manage any necessary repairs or upgrades to the facility and equipment, liaising with vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including emergency procedures and protocols.

2.

Staff Management:


  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise gym staff, including trainers, front desk personnel, and maintenance staff.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Schedule staff shifts effectively to ensure adequate coverage during peak times and maintain optimal staffing levels.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff members.

3.

Customer Service and Member Relations:


  • Maintain a high level of customer service, addressing member inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones.
  • Conduct gym tours, provide information about membership options, and assist in the enrollment process.
  • Monitor member satisfaction and implement initiatives to enhance the member experience.

4.

Operational Efficiency:


  • Develop and implement operational procedures, policies, and guidelines to ensure smooth daytoday operations.
  • Manage gym finances, including budgeting, monitoring expenses, and optimizing revenue generation.
  • Analyze membership data and gym usage trends to make informed decisions and improvements.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute promotional activities and campaigns.

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in gym management or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of fitness equipment, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective member and staff interactions.
  • Proven customer service experience and a customercentric mindset.
  • Strong problemsolving abilities and the capacity to handle difficult situations professionally.
  • Proficient computer skills for managing scheduling software, membership databases, and financial records.

Salary:
$45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Gym: 3 years (preferred)
