Parts Manager
Daily
- Timely attendance arrive 15 to 20 minutes before opening to prepare for the day
- Unlock doors, turn on lights and make sure dealership is ready for business
- Greet and welcome customers with a positive attitude ensuring positive dealership image
- Answer incoming phone calls in a timely manner and schedule appointments following the Mazda recommended maintenance schedule and confirm all customer information
- Assist advisor with customer overflow during busy times
- Quote parts on customer pay work orders quickly and accurately so the work can be sold to the customer and technicians can complete work
- Quote parts on internal work orders
- Quote parts for body shops and local independent garages. Arrange for delivery when parts arrive
- Quote and invoice over the counter part sales
- Stock in parts received in morning and afternoon
- Organize and shelve parts daily to ensure accuracy and that all parts have bin locations
- Ensure all parts are in stock or are ordered for upcoming customer appointments by reviewing schedule regularly
- Review schedule and check for outstanding recalls
- Pull parts for following day and label by customer name for technicians to locate easily
- Complete daily parts stock order by deadline
- Order any necessary shop and service supplies such as work order paper and printer toner
- Dispatch work orders to technicians ensuring even work distribution and using the technicians strengths for the job at hand
- Provide quotes for tires and accessories to customers over the counter and on the phone
- Process Symtech Tire Gard and Appearance Gard claims and ensure they are approved and paid in a timely manner
- Process Mazda Appearance Protection claims and ensure they are approved and paid in a timely manner
- Manage tire storage accurately and provide list of required tires to apprentices for retrieval from storage bins
- Regularly check Mazda Document Library for new documentation
Weekly
- Weekly meeting with Fixed Ops Manager to go over issues/improvements
- Check return status on return requests to Mazda and parts already returned
- Check Atmazphere for any new courses or training available
- Check oil and hardware quantity to ensure there is a sufficient amount for upcoming week
- Sort completed work orders in numerical order and file accordingly
- Clean parts and service area to create a clean environment for customers
- Follow up on outstanding Mazda and Symtech claims to avoid untimely payments
- Follow up on special orders for customers and arrange for pick up or installation
Monthly
- Complete monthly inventory
- Complete obsolescence return ensuring the oldest, unneeded parts are returned for credit
- Enter all credits received by Mazda and aftermarket parts companies to ensure accurate accounting and inventory
- Create parts packages in CDK to provide efficiency in parts quoting
- Call on / stop in to body shops and aftermarket repair shops to keep good relationships for future business
Yearly
- Complete yearly inventory
- Analyze previous year's tire and wheel sales and order for current year based on results
- Create winter tire and rim package pricing and distribute to dealership
- Create all season tire pricing packages to be used by service for easy quoting
Salary:
$55,049.00-$59,440.00 per year
