    Location: Summer Co-Op on site in Woodbridge, Canada

    Purpose

    The intern will join the AI team, which research and develops machine learning based solutions. The purpose is to strengthen the team in its daily operations as well as provide insights and innovate functionality for PoC (Proof-of-Concept) or shorted development projects.

    A secondary purpose is also for the student to learn and get hands on experience working with our company.

    Responsibilities

  • Work with AI model development
  • Adhere to our Kanban development process
  • Drive small to medium sized work items, by direction of manager or another full-time engineer
  • Attend internal meetings with our stakeholders and other teams.
  • Being able to work in remote location, with the occasional onsite visit to our office in Woodbrige
  • Basic Qualifications
  • Ongoing Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent university program
  • Well versed in Python programming, including data science related libraries like Numpy and Pandas, Scikit, Sklearn
  • Previous hands-on experience with machine learning, such as working with TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Theanos or similar
  • Previous experience with Git or GitHub software versioning systemPreferred Characteristics
  • Forward thinking and innovative
  • Willing to perform presentations, for a smaller audience
  • Ideally a genuine interest in machine learning and AI
