Job Summary:
You are an experienced Systems Manager who, reporting to the Project Director, will be responsible for the complete delivery of all systems for an LRT extension, including signaling, communications and power supply and distribution.
The role entails comprehensive management of the design development process conducted by a third-party consultant, procurement, installation, testing, systems integration, and commissioning, with a specific focus on effectively managing the overall systems team, comprised of third-party design and engineering consultants, field installation crews, and subcontractors.

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to build and develop an efficient, capable team that applies best practice to deliver integrated, functioning and safe transit systems
- Develop and implement key systems engineering project processes and practices in accordance with industry standards, including ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288: 2023 Systems and software engineering
- System life cycle processes and CENELEC railway standards
- Manage the endtoend delivery of all systems associated with the LRT extension project. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards. Regularly report progress, challenges, and mitigation strategies to the Project Director
- Supervise design activities carried out by thirdparty consultants, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Review and approve design documentation, resolving designrelated issues promptly
- Oversee the installation of signaling, communications, power supply, and distribution systems. Develop and implement comprehensive testing procedures to verify system functionality and performance
- Lead commissioning activities, working closely with stakeholders to validate system performance and safety
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and suppliers, to foster collaborative relationships and address project requirements effectively
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience of delivering complex multidisciplinary projects
- Experience in Light Rail Transit
- Experience as a business/project manager with accountability for P&L performance
- Experience of developing budgets and schedules for large projects
- Ability to effectively interface with and influence engineering specialists, design managers and construction project managers in a competent professional manner
- Ability to influence and manage key stakeholders and build trust and advocacy with clients
- Ability to engage staff and address difficult issues effectively and fairly
