Summary:

This role requires flexibility and may require travel to complete work at remote customer sites or other Spartan locations.

Role and Responsibilities:

DeltaV System configuration, layout, design, testing, startup, and commissioning
Support existing DeltaV System upgrades, virtualizations, migrations, and system expansions
Provide DeltaV interface to third party products
Leverage DeltaV technology to improve/optimize process plant performance
Interface with internal and external customers
Proactively followup on all service work completed to ensure customer satisfaction
Be available outside of regular business hours for customer support
Work with team members to ensure proper customer coverage during vacations

Qualifications and Skills:

Engineering degree, Engineering Technology diploma or Instrumentation background
Experience with DeltaV or other industrial automation control systems preferred
Exceptional communication skills and customer service practices
Detail oriented with effective interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Strong aptitude for solving problems and continuous learning
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Entrepreneurial work ethic
Information Technology experience with Microsoft Hyper-V, managed network switches, firewalls, and cybersecurity products would be an asset
Valid driver's license in good standing required as travel to customer sites is required

The training provided for this opportunity will consist of formal training, mentoring, and collaborating with other Control System Specialists.
