Summary

The Detailer Team Lead supports the Supervisor and service team in providing onsite service and support for our Retail Home Depot customer in the assigned territory and locations.

This role is interactive and involves periodic travel (provincially) and at times heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.

Duties and Responsibility

  • Weekly travel required in assigned territory.
  • Direct, critique and monitor the Detailers that will be working under your supervision as the stores increase in numbersThis includes store cross
- merchandising, inventory management, aisle cleanliness and the promptness of which new orders are merchandised.

  • Develop a relationship with Home Depot Management in all assigned stores.
  • Monitor Detailer's inventory levels to increase replenishment frequency (turns).
  • Assist when needed with any basic maintenance: clean up the aisle, sort bins of mixed product, replacing damaged or worn labels, bins and cases, etc., and aid in the training, on an ongoing basis, of Home Depot Hardware staff.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Follow the store safety rules, and work in a safe and healthy manner.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or higher.
  • 3−5 years in a retail vendor or big box environment, supervising staff, delegating tasks, and managing performance.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office) specifically MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Performs functions with a sense of purpose and a degree of urgency.
  • Creates a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills (oral & written).
  • Travel is required; vaccination is required where air travel is necessary
