As a Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for leading Bank-wide Technology Sourcing and project activities while working closely with senior business unit leadership and other sourcing leaders.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Create relationships with IT leaders to support enterprise objectives and influence key stakeholders
- Manage business value through total cost of ownership (TCO) savings captured through Bankwide purchasing volume, strategic supplier relationships and demand management
- Directly manage and implement best practices in sourcing initiatives related to IT
- Manage a category within and across the Bank's business segments, and serve as a key contributor to a welldeveloped and evolving supplier management processes
- Manage sourcing initiatives for multifunctional stakeholder teams, through strategy development, market assessments, RFP processes, contract and supplier negotiation, and supplier management
- Establish and develop ongoing strategic relationships with key suppliers during major sourcing/project initiatives
- Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations, ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We would like to meet with you if you have:
- The ability to bridge communications between Sourcing, IT, business and legal stakeholders/partners with a focus on developing an understanding of how to structure contracts to deliver against bank's needs
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and comfort in speaking with senior leaders at the Bank
- Knowledge in financial services and regulations (e.g., OSFI, OCC, CFPB, UDAAP)
- Ability to comprehend complex technical and financial issues and use them to inform the creation of effective action plans and supplier strategies
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to develop analyses and insights into supply market trends
- Knowledge and experience with stateoftheart procurement and analysis technologies
- Knowledge and understanding of emerging IT and related architecture
- Demonstrated skills leading Strategic Sourcing and/or strategic supplier relationships
- Proven ability to develop and execute formal negotiations for IT agreements
