Summary
The Vacuum Truck Operator will collaborate with the Vacuum Truck Services team to deliver top-notch service to clients.
Services provided include (but not limited to): spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing, water hauling, and loading and hauling of various fluids/material.
The selected candidate will engage in this diverse range of tasks with a strong emphasis on safety, professionalism, and teamwork.Key Responsibilities
- Operate vacuum equipment safely in an industrial setting
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and onsite requirements.
- Offer exceptional service to clients and represent the organization professionally.
- Conduct daily equipment pretrips and maintain accurate driver logs for compliance.
- Maintain detailed and precise company documentation for work performed.
- Demonstrate dedication to environmental compliance.
- Engage in safety initiatives like safety meetings, reporting near misses, and job hazard assessments.
- Independently manage time and productivity while communicating effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of Industrial Vacuum Truck experience required; Combo Vac experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Valid Class 3 Driver's License with Air Brakes and a clean Commercial Drivers Abstract is necessary; Class 1 Driver's License with Air Brakes would be beneficial but not obligatory.
- Ability to operate manual transmission.
- Possession of valid safety tickets like First Aid/CPR, Construction Safety Training (CSTS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and H2S Alive is beneficial.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Safety-conscious attitude with experience in an industrial environment.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance on units for efficient operation.
- Demonstrates cleanliness and organizational skills.
- Must be in good health and physical condition to complete assigned duties.
- Willingness to respond to after-hour calls when needed.
- Some short-term travel and overnight stays may be required.
