Position Description
We are currently seeking motivated, hardworking individuals for our Class 1or 3 Driver role in our Williams Lake location.


Position Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive Roll Off, front Load, Side Load, 52ft Walking Floor Trailer for Mine Haul, Bin Truck and Contain It Trucks.
  • Should possess and should be quick learner and ready to work as a team
  • Coordinate with shop staff and fleet drivers on a frequent basis to ensure all the necessary material and supplies are considered.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled and fuel consumption.
  • Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
  • Communicate with dispatch on a regular basis to ensure delivery is completed
  • Ensure Pretrip and Posttrip inspections are completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform manual and electronic dataentry on a frequent basis.
  • Advanced coordination with dispatch regarding routes.
  • Ensure the appropriate PPE is worn as all times
  • May perform emergency roadside repairs.
  • May transport hazardous products or dangerous goods.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies_

  • 35 years of driving experience is preferred
  • Must possess a valid Class 1or3 license and submit current abstracts, personal and CVOR
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to successfully pass all required training, background check, and drug and alcohol testing.
  • Truck driving in all types of weather conditions, including the use of chains in the winter.
