Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Perform duties of care as per client's individual care plan and assist in activities of daily living including personal care, meal preparation, organization, light housekeeping
Demonstrated commitment to client centered care
Demonstrated excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills
Strong written and reading skills are required to understand and follow care plans and write reports.
Proven ability to work independently with minimum supervision and also as part of a team
Demonstrated professional work ethic, good attendance and commitment to working safely
Ability to follow procedures, legislation and safety policies
Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic devices
Ability and Willingness to travel to client's location

Training & Experience:

Current Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (Foreign trained nurses, Nursing Students)
Valid First Aid / CPR Certificate
Updated immunization records
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check/Police Clearance Screening
Second Language is an asset
Driver's license is an asset
