    Job Overview


    Reports to: Service Manager

    Shift: 7x7, 12 hours per day – rotational between days and nights

    Location: Prince George, or Kamloops, BC

    Relocation: This position does not offer relocation

    Travel: 75%

    Responsibilities

    • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout and repair industrial mining equipment
    • Maintain, repair, test and install electronic control systems, electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems as well as other related devices
    • Test electrical wiring, equipment, and components for continuity, voltage and resistance
    • Conduct preventative maintenance programs and keep applicable records
    • Assure quality control is maintained as per quality requirements
    • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Journeyperson Electrician Certificate including Red Seal Certification
    • 4-7 years of industrial experience
    • Demonstrated skills and knowledge of PLC controls and wiring
    • Strong understanding of electrical theory
    • Ability to troubleshoot and make decisions.
    • Good organizational and planning skills
    • Hold a strong standard for quality and safety
    • No restrictions for access to any mine sites in Canada
