    The Manager Child and Adolescent Services is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, supervising and evaluating the Mental Health and Addictions Child and Adolescent clinical outpatient teams.

    The Manager oversees a team responsible for the clinical and administrative operations that support clients in our core services.

    As part of the administrative operations, the Manager oversees the administrative team and is responsible to oversee any issues related to the site(s) where services are provided.

    The Manager Child and Adolescent Services monitors clinical service delivery on a day-to-day basis to ensure service provision is in accordance with Nova Scotia Health Authority's policies and procedures and is compliant with evidence-based practice, provincial standards, accreditation requirements and provincial service delivery model, CAPA.

    of Psychiatry, Mental Health & Addictions Managers, and all other relevant staff, physician and academic leaders, the Manager provides strategic and operational leadership that supports excellence in service delivery, integration of mental health and addiction service provision, and collaboration with other program areas.

    Master's Degree in a recognized mental health and/or addiction health discipline or related field with five (5) years' experience in a mental health and addictions system preferred; OR Bachelor Degree in a recognized mental health and addiction discipline, with five (5) years' experience in mental health or addictions, one of which should be in professional practice/leadership capacity and two (2) additional years' experience in clinical practice for a total of seven (7) years' experience.


    • Registered/eligible for registration and a member in good standing of the relevant regulatory body.
    • Minimum of five (5) years experience in working in the mental health and addictions field.
    • Formal leadership experience in the health care field, Mental Health & Addictions experience preferred.
    • Management skills demonstrated through planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluating.
    • Exceptional time management, critical thinking, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
    • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
