Position Overview:


The Group Home is a residential group home setting for boys and girls who have been experiencing difficulties with life at home and are in need of care and structured living which the group home is able to provide.

The Residential Counsellor is to provide the support and care of these clients as well as their safety, health and well-being.

It will be their responsibility to promote the best interest of the child and to provide for their protection. The Residential Counsellor reports to the Direct Services Supervisor.


Qualifications Desired:

  • Practical experience in the field of child care work.
  • Academic training in the field of child care or related areas.
  • Consistency in management of the clientele and their activities.
  • Be able to participate meaningfully in the planning, development and implementation of the program.
  • Commitment to participate in training and development.
  • Fluency in Ojibway, or Oji-Cree preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must: have a valid driver's licence
  • Must provide a Criminal Records Check prior to employment
  • Must be willing and able to travel.
  • Successful applicant must provide proof of both COVID19 Vaccinations

Salary range for this position is $56,337 to $67,328 annually.
