Summary

McGill University Human Resources (HR) has moved forward with the implementation of all the core modules of Workday SaaS. A team of Functional Business Analysts (FBA) are responsible for providing support for this new system.

The job of the members of the FBA team is to simplify and standardize the HR management process for both administrative and academic staff.

McGill HRIS team is seeking an FBA to support, configure and enhance
_Recruiting_ module in Workday.

Their role will be to collaborate and support the set-up and configuration of business processes in Workday to improve McGill HR system functionality and service delivery.

They will also collaborate and support internal integrations containing recruitment and HCM data.


Responsibilities:


System Enhancements:

  • Provide professional expertise in the examination and definition of objectives for existing, future systems and online educational technologies
  • Responsible for delivering quality solutions that will deliver the intended benefits and are aligned with the HR Process Owner(s) for their area
  • Navigate the organization to drive process design in Workday and provide detailed system requirements
  • Signoff on functional designs of integrations and integration improvements
  • Support test execution for enhancements elaborate business test conditions and expected results for the system configuration testing and user acceptance testing
  • Train "Super Users'' and operational resources

Operations:

  • Viewed as a reference in Workday and business processes for their area
  • Perform normal and complex configuration changes as required in Workday to support enhancements (business process, business rules, dropdown list change, reporting, integrations etc.)
  • Assess new Workday features as they become available and propose recommendations to the McGill Community and Process Owners.
  • Develop testing strategy for new Workday features and perform testing
  • Manage McGill's roadmap for their functional area
  • Act as level 3 support to the '' Super Users '' of each faculty and administrative units
  • Modify existing reports as well as build new reports
  • Support existing integrations including testing during Workday Releases. Build and support new integrations if needed
  • Work with IT staff and support existing RaaS (reporting as a service) including testing during Workday Releases
  • Establish the needs for Change Management & Training in their area
  • Facilitate user sessions, gather requirements, and prioritize requests for enhancements coming from the McGill community
  • Oversee the adoption of Workday and of best practices across McGill's community for their area (leveraging Workday reports)
  • Manage the administration of processes and workflow within their functional area (e.g., monitor process performance)
  • Oversee realization of expected benefits

Other Qualifying Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of business/HR processes.
  • Experience in Workday recruiting or HCM, reporting and/or integrations is preferred
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the higher education environment and of its HR policies and procedures for both administrative and academic staff.
  • Ability to understand process owner needs and requirements and make recommendations as appropriate.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Proactive and capable of leading initiatives
  • Team player with ability to partner with peers when integrating functionalities across functional areas.
  • Bilingualism, English and French, spoken and written.
  • Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree 3 Years Related Experience /

Annual Salary:
(MPEX Grade 05) $69, $86, $104,150.00
