Responsibilities:


  • Build inventory allocation program focused on profitability, instock and fulfillment experience optimization using data to communicate program health and to align future initiatives
  • Develop and own allocation metrics and drive continuous improvement of those metrics partnering with Operations, Demand and Supply Planning, and Sales stakeholders
  • Be the single threaded leader for developing our next generation inventory allocation logic driving the project with technology, sales, planning and operations stakeholders
  • Work with the ERP team to customize inventory management modules related to inventory management
  • Lead a team of allocation coordinators to manage day to day inventory allocations, exceptions, reporting and inventory audits
  • Simplify and automate manual allocation processes
  • Collaborate with retail partners and account management team to finetune allocation commitments while driving retailer sellthrough accountability
  • Tactical management of inventory availability and delivery promise during major promotions proactively taking decisions as per sellthrough performance
  • Work with cross functional partners to document and develop inventory allocation processes, and to improve data integrity across platforms
  • Occasional travel to North York, ON headquarters may be required.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Minimum undergraduate degree in a related field (operations, supply chain, engineering, mathematics); master's degree is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in managing multiretail and / or ecommerce merchandise allocation
  • Understanding of financial and operational inventory measures such as COGS, OTB, turns, periods of supply, service level and availability
  • Strong analytical skills with an understanding of retail availability metrics, combined with an ability to root cause the inventory effects on sales and customer experience
  • Proven results in process automation, scenario building and constraintbased optimization
  • Working knowledge of ERP order management, backorders, and supply planning systems
  • Ability to work independently on projects from concept to execution while driving multiple stakeholders towards desired results
  • Develops contingencies with quantification and a strong bias for action
  • Advanced excel skills, process mapping skills and working knowledge of SQL required; Python knowledge is an asset
