Project Work Cleaner and Supervisor
Domus Building Cleaning Ltd. is looking for qualified Project Experienced Cleaners that have worked extensively in Floor Care stripping and waxing, carpet extraction, and other similar duties. This position will require travel to various buildings and sites across the National Capital Region. Domus has been in operation for over 50 years with more than 500 employees in multiple provinces and has an excellent reputation as a janitorial services provider.
Competitive Wage Rate of $ $25.00 per Hour to start + annual bonus possible
This position will mostly require work to be performed in the Evenings, Overnight, and on Weekends depending on the specific project.
Security checks of various types may be required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform and supervise stripping and waxing of different types of floors
- Must be knowledgeable in floor scrubbing and burnishing floors
- Maintains floor care equipment
- Moving/Lifting furniture, heavy duty cleaning
- Must have solid experience and knowledge of wet and dry carpet extraction
- Operate carpet machines of various types
- Other specialist duties as required
- High dusting experience a plus
- Flood cleanup, Post construction cleanup a plus
- Demonstrates infection prevention and control knowledge and skills
- Garage pressure washing experience a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have valid driver's license (in good standing)
- Strong English language capabilities and French is considered a plus
- Must have 4 years plus experience in Commercial Cleaning
- Supervisory / Lead-Hand experience a plus
- Ability to lead others in regular cleaning duties
- Training others a plus in regular cleaning duties
