Overview
The Accounting Clerk is a multi-faceted role that involves both accounting for DESCH USA and DESCH Canada.

They are responsible for all the follow up and payment collection for our Canadian accounts along with the day to day accounting for our USA facilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable _
  • Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
  • Create invoices for Sales and ensure all invoices have the appropriate charges included (i.e. freight, shipping, etc)
  • Followup on outstanding invoices and collect all payment
  • Monitor customer account details for nonpayment, delayed payments and other irregularities and update payments/reconciliation in SAP
  • Prepare and submit weekly outstanding receivables reports
  • Follow established procedures for processing receipts and other payments
  • Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
  • Managing all collection disputes and escalation items and provide management with detailed status of aged receivable
  • Work with Operations and various outside providers to resolve billing issue
  • Additional duties as required
  • Accounts Payable and Other Duties_
  • Coding, matching and posting invoices to SAP
  • Post employee expense reports and credit card statements
  • Manage intercompany transactions
  • Office administration filing systems, to be maintained physically and electronically
  • Comply with internal controls, accounting policies and other financial policies

Preferred Skills

  • 13 years related working experience preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • University degree or college diploma in accounting, finance, or business
  • A selfstarter, ability to work alone and can also collaborate as a team
  • Experience with Accounting in USA is considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and communication skills; Must be fluent in English (written and oral)
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office with extensive Excel skills
  • Experience using SAP Software also considered an asset

Pay:
$52,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
