Bill Nelems Pain & Research Centre (formerly the Okanagan Pain Clinic) currently has an opening for a professional and outgoing _
Medical Office Assistant_ to join our amazing team We are a growing practice of approximately 18 pain doctors looking to hire a full-time, permanent person to work in our clinic.

Duties for this role include:

• Answer phones.
• Book appointments in accordance with physician instructions.
• Scanning, filing, and other administrative duties.
• Maintain accurate records in the EMR system.
• Collect payment for privately billed procedures.
• Answer general patient questions about the clinic and communicate medical questions to the appropriate physician.
• Sanitize and stock treatment rooms.
• Understand and follow physician preferences for patient bookings.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A professional and welcoming demeanor towards patients and colleagues is essential.
• Highly organized.
• Strong work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Fulltime availability (Mon

• Fri) is required.
• A recognized MOA Certificate is considered an asset but not required.
• Previous experience in a similar administrative role, preferably in a medical setting.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
