Malahat SkyWalk is currently looking to add
Barista / Food & Beverage Servers to our growing team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a small and growing tourism organization. If you are passionate about what we do here, we would love to hear from you

Responsabilities (include but are not limited to):

• Providing attentive and friendly food & beverage service to our guests while ensuring accuracy in orders and payments
• Preparing baked goods, togo food items, and specialty coffee beverages for guests
• Continuously learning and improving on department processes and procedures to ensure food quality standards are exceeded
• Maintaining a tidy environment, and cleaning highcontact surfaces and tables both indoors and outdoors
• Cleaning and restocking work and customer service areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils
• Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, to ensure all offerings are available for guests
• Providing assistance with other Departments when required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• You pride yourself in being reliable and are known as a team player
• You think proactively and quickly on your feet; you are skilled at using your resources to solve whatever problems may come your way
• You know how to prioritize
• You know the difference is in the details, it's the little things that take life from ordinary to extraordinary
• You have a proven ability to connect and communicate with people effectively
• You are comfortable being on your feet, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods of time
• Previous experience working in a fastpaced café or restaurant environment will be considered an asset
• Previous experience as a barista will be considered an asset
• Valid BC Food Safe Level 1 is required
• Prior completion of Serving It Right certification is preferred and successful completion will be required within the first month of employment

Please note:

This position works a flexible schedule of full or part-time seasonal work, according to the needs of the business.

This includes working evenings, weekends, holidays and being on-call. Participation in cross training in other departments will be required.

Pay Range:
$ $22.00 per hour
