    This position reports directly to the Frontline Supervisor.

    Purpose

    • Is responsible for their health and safety as well as others.
    • Will correct or report unsafe practices or conditions.
    • Maintains a safe and healthy place to work.
    • Make suggestions to improve any aspect of safety and correct issues wherever possible.
    • Will understand and follow Newmont policies and procedures as outlined in the FRM handbook.
    • Learns and follows the safety rules and procedures for safe performance of the job

    Essential Duties

    • Responsibilities include but not limited to mobile:
    • Operate mobile equipment (scoops, trucks, and utility vehicles)
    • Wash down muckpiles, inspect for misfired explosives.
    • Muck development headings and MCF's to remucks or into haul trucks
    • Muck sumps and blend slimes in remucks for disposal
    • Maintain travelways and roadways
    • Truck ore/waste from remuck or truck loadout to ore / waste pass
    • Operation of rockbreakers
    • Other duties as assigned by the Frontline Supervisor.

    Training & Experience

    • High School Diploma.
    • Minimum of three (3) – four (4) years mining experience
    • Training and licensed on operations of mobile equipment in the mine for job requirements.
    • Experience as a Service Person or outside equivalent
    • Underground Common Core Certificate
    • Some specialty modules including Haul Truck and Scoop
    • U0006 Blast Rock
    • U0010 Muck with Load Haul Dump (LHD) Machine
    • U0024 Operate Utility Vehicle
    • U0068a Perform Trackless Haulage – Operate Scoop Tram Draw Point
    • U0068b Perform Trackless Haulage – Operate Scoop Tram Production/Development
    • U0091 Operate Haulage Truck

    Working Conditions

    • This job is located at Hoyle Pond, part of Newmont's Porcupine mine site near Timmins, ON.
    • In this role you will work a 5x5x4 schedule, as such if you do not live in the area, we will require relocation
