    Description

    Permanent Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Position

    • Work Language: English
    • Hours: 84 hours bi-weekly
    • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
    • Experience: Experience an asset

    Work Environment:

    • Noisy and Dusty

    Work Responsibilities:

    • Coach and instruct apprentices
    • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
    • Repair or replace defective machinery parts
    • Fabricate parts needed during overhaul or maintenance
    • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
    • Operate machining tools
    • Program PLCs
    • Install machinery and equipment
    • Utilize hoisting and lifting equipment
    • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications

    Certifications and Courses:

    • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
    • Construction Millwright Trade Certification
    • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement

    Equipment Experience:

    • Automated and robotic systems
    • Conveyors
    • Electrical and electronic controls
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Power tools and welding equipment
    • Forklifts and hand tools

    Specialization:

    • Experience in the Green Economy Sector
    • Specialize in Shutdown Operations, Troubleshooting, and more

    Work Conditions:

    • Physically demanding with attention to detail
    • Includes bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
    • Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
    • Requires own tools and steel-toed safety boots
