Accounting / Operations / Administrative Technician
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts
- Assist in monthend close process as needed
- Assist in preparation of quarterly sales tax filings
- Assist in monthend payroll process as needed
- Support the Controller with monthly payroll tax payments for Montréal, QC taxes as needed
- Manage accounts payable invoices from customer billing and assist in processing of vendor invoices when necessary
- Assist in managing repairs & maintenance for several commercial properties
- Basic lease administration: followup with tenants regarding payments, keep track of new and expiring leases, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or relevant certificate; Minimum of three years of related experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working with QuickBooks (ideally QuickBooks Pro) is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Excel is required.Job Type:
Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-24 per week
