    Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

    WORK ASSIGNMENT: The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching: SLWK 4380 Sec 01, "(dis)Ability Policy & Practice". The course will be offered in the Fall term from September to December, 2024. To confirm course times and location, please refer to the Dalhousie Academic Timetable. NOTE: this course is part of the BSW program.

    The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including preparing and delivering lectures and preparation and grading of assignments. In addition, the part-time academic should expect to be engaged in course preparations for one-two months preceding course delivery.

    Qualifications/Requirements of Position

    REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: A critical lens to (dis)Ability, with practice experience in working with (dis)Abled persons, (dis)Ability organizations and across various (dis)Ability communities. A Master of Social Work degree, or higher, and previous teaching experience, preferably with on-line teaching.
