provides engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services to various industries, including mining, metallurgy, oil and gas, infrastructure, and other industrial customers for "Asset Management and Maintenance Services".

Demir Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who is team minded and has a love for accounting.

This individual will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks in receivables and payables as well as working with our Finance Manager on month-end reporting and reconciliations.

Demir Engineering is an innovative company and as such each employee participates in engaging in the process improvement and innovation processes.


Finding the right individual for the job is the primary concern and training can be provided for tasks or elements of the job as required.

Our current accounting system is Business Central through Microsoft Dynamics.

- a willingness to switch hats to assist in several aspects of the business,

- that they have a team focused attitude.


Day to day tasks include:

Payables

  • Issuing Purchase Orders, quality checking purchase orders
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Comparing project costs to budgets
  • Closing projects at conclusion and completing summary reports
  • Preparing vendor payments
  • Reconciling vendor statements
  • Monitoring bank and credit card activity

Receivables

  • Issuing customer invoices
  • Posting customer payments
  • Monitoring customer accounts and following up on slow invoices

Month-end procedures include:


  • Preparing bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Calculating and posting accruals and adjustments
  • Monitoring actual inventory levels and adjusting as necessary
  • Prepare month end working papers
  • Preparing draft financial statements and other reports as necessary
  • Filing GST returns
  • Calculate Corporate tax instalment requirements

Other duties include:


  • Updating accounting and administrative procedures as necessary
  • Assisting with office administration as necessary
