Position Summary

Responsibilities:

The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

Learn PenguinPickUp policies, Standard Operating Procedures, & Store Operations protocols & follow them.
Receiving, unloading, and inspecting delivery orders appropriately
Handling and organizing packages continuously throughout the shift
Delivering orders to customer vehicles when support is needed.
Returning packages to senders from courier services and partnerships
Handling temperaturecontrolled food orders
Maintaining a clean and safe physical environment outside of the locations including but not limited to; shoveling, salting and general clean up;
Maintaining a clean and safe physical environment indoors including but not limited to rearrangement of packages, daily cleaning and maintenance of the facilities i.e. break areas, washrooms etc. opening and Contacting customers when their packages are ready for pickup
Supporting the Customer Experience team with their tickets in a timely manner
Support the team's key metrics and be aligned with them
Provide a seamless experience when assisting customer drop offs
Process shipments and payments through POS terminal and pin pad.
Ensure that individual and unit sales targets are met
Actively participating and contributing ideas on ways to improve and/or optimize store procedures
From time to time, other duties may be assigned
Cleaning and maintaining the physical environment indoors, including but not limited to rearrangement of packages, daily cleaning of break areas, washrooms, etc. and opening and closing tasks.

Academic/Professional Requirements:

Minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent, or currently in process.
Additional designation/certification is an asset.

Required Skills/Experience:

1+ year of experience in delivering exceptional customer service.
Preferable 1 year of experience in sales; promoting products and services.
Must be able to operate and understand new technology
Must be able to adapt to high volume / fast paced environment.
Enjoy working in a team environment or independently.
Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with people of all levels
Must be at least 19 years of age to handle packages from online cannabis retailers
Proactive with strong problemsolving abilities.
Maintain a positive attitude when faced with difficult situations.
Must be organized and able to multitask and prioritize workload;
SmartServe certification is an asset.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work in varied outdoor temperatures
Ability to lift up to 50lbs continuously throughout the shift while adhering to all Health and Safety policies.
Wear safety shoes throughout the shift, adhering to all Health and Safety requirements.
Must be willing and able to wear the required uniform
Maintain a clean and presentable appearance at all times.
