Are you a skilled and experienced Construction Administrator looking for an exciting new opportunity? We're on the hunt for someone just like you to join our team As our Construction Administrator you will be our expert and representative on our construction sites.

You'll collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other team members to ensure that our structures are being constructed correctly and efficiently to our designs.

  • Attend a standup meeting with your scrum team to discuss yesterday's challenges and plan for the day's tasks
  • Review relevant structural shop drawings for conformance to design intent
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure construction conforms to contract drawings
  • A daily break for a game of Table Tennis is always welcomed
  • Attend coelevate's group events such as potlucks, lunch & learns, book club, etc.
  • Participate in one of coelevates charity causes such as blood drives, toy drives, food drives, or seasonal inhouse charity events
  • Issue Contemplated Change Orders and Site Instructions
  • Review and respond to requests for information
  • At the end of a long day, it is commonplace for our leadership to send staff members home to ensure worklife balance

[ what we seek in a
construction administrator ]

  • Experienced in the construction of multiple structure types and materials (steel, wood, masonry, concrete, etc.)
  • Ability to contribute to the development of junior construction admins by providing guidance and facilitate full understanding of the project(s)
  • Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and develop steps for their proper execution
  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions
  • Account for potential project issues and proactively problem solve
  • Liaison with project stakeholders to solve site issues as necessary
  • Willing to be based in London, ON or Kitchener, ON and travel to sites as required
  • This role may require some overtime hours on occasion
  • Own transportation and a valid driver's license
[ The minimum
qualifications, experience and skills are required ]

Minimum 5 years industry experience

  • Working knowledge of applicable Canadian Standards and Codes (OBC, NBC, Timber, Concrete, Steel, Masonry, etc.)
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Adept at functioning in a fast paced, multidisciplinary consulting environment
