We are seeking a
Construction Superintendent/ Coordinator - Tailings **to join our Global Minerals & Metals (M&M) Construction team and to support our growth to align with the demand to supply responsibly sourced critical minerals.

We are looking for a top performer to add to our talented M&M Construction group and to be a part of the sustainable movement.

The new team member will provide tailored process solutions across all phases of project development and operational support with opportunities to advance towards their career aspirations.


This opportunity will be based in
Copper Cliff, ON and offers work-life flexibility with global exposure with AtkinsRéalis teams and projects.

There is potential for work at client sites and project responsibilities will be added as needed.

In some cases, the opportunity may be available to relocate to other Canadian or international destinations for extended periods of time.


Your role within the team:


  • Interface with Subcontractors and plant operations.
  • Monitor and ensure health and safety plans are created and followed.
  • Ensure construction plans are followed and assist with the reviews for subcontractor submittals.
  • Oversee work and ensure technical standards and drawings are followed.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and engineering to ensure schedules are maintained and priorities are communicated.
  • Assist with scope development for future packages.
  • Provide constructability reviews for safety plans and drawings.

  • 5+ years of experience with heavy civil and earth works.
  • 5+ years of experience coordinating the construction of tailings dams in Mining projects.
  • Demonstrated experience operating within active tailings facilities.
  • Trade or technical background in civil engineering and/or equipment operations.
