Description

Kell Farms Limited is currently seeking to higher a specialized machinery operator for its Belleville operation.

This position would be full time and start immediately to allow for ample time to train the successful applicant on the various pieces of equipment and locations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Operate planting equipment spring and fall. Responsible for ensuring correct population and planting depth along with monitoring soil moisture conditions
Combine operation during harvest season
Perform regular maintenance on all equipment along with repairs as needed.
Perform physical tasked involving lifting and climbing
Perform other farm/grain elevator tasks as required

- show up on time and prepared for work
- always be polite and courteous to customers and coworkers
- during the busy planting and harvest season be available to work extended hours and weekends
- maintain and clean and safe work environment

Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma minimum
Ability to lift 50 plus lbs
Working from heights qualification and the ability to climb
Minimum G license
Ability and willingness to work additional hours when required
Ability to work in environments that can include dust, heat, and cold
Ability to work well individually or as part of a team
Safely and accurately complete tasks
Will need to have or be willing to acquire a grower pesticide safety course certificate

Preferred Qualification:
- post secondary education
