Position Highlights

As a Marketing Communications Advisor, you will help champion our Purpose and promote a safe driving culture for all British

Columbians.

You will lead the integrated campaign planning process for Road Safety other key corporate initiatives, and support efforts to

embed Purpose into everything we do. With the plan in place, you will collaborate with your Marketing and Communications

colleagues, internal working teams, and be a key connector to the agency partners, to develop and execute the campaigns.

Your experience in marketing and communications skills will be key along with strong project management skills, as you set

campaign strategy, develop marketing briefs, optimize marketing communication processes, and coordinate approvals and stay

on budget to execute campaigns.

Your great relationship management skills will help you build partnerships with other business areas. This includes working

closely with other Public Affairs teams in media relations, internal communications, social media and road safety to plan and

execute the campaigns. You will also recommend and facilitate ongoing measurement and analysis, identifying trends and

making recommendations for continuous improvements for the ICBC Marketing and Communications teams.

Position Requirements


Requirements:


  • Experience in campaign and creative development and implementation.
  • Strong creative judgment assessing creative for alignment to standards, achievement of communication objectives and overall
aesthetics.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Able to communicate at all levels of an organization.
  • Thorough understanding of strategic marketing including digital and standard marketing channels.
  • Strong relationship management skills at the organizational, team, and individual level.
  • Strong project management skills including project plan documentation, timelines and action item assignments.
  • Strong organizational skill, able to manage multiple projects, and evaluate urgency.
  • Familiarity with market research and market/competitive intelligence techniques and data analysis.
  • A teamplayer with a strong desire to learn and collaborate as part of an integrated team.
  • University or college degree in marketing, business, communications or an equivalent degree in a field of study related to the
job.

  • 47 years of relevant work experience in professional marketing, advertising or communications environment.
  • 23 years of advertising agency experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in public affairs discipline an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
