    As the HR Consultant in Pay & Client Services, you will be the subject matter expert for the implementation of the UKG Scheduling and Time Administration Project. You will represent the Pay & Client Services Division, working alongside external UKG Consultants and Information Technology (IT) within The City.Partnering with the IT Project Manager and project members, you will also collaborate with departments across The City and with the Divisional leadership team on the Future of Payroll Initiative. Primary duties include:

  • Oversee the implementation of the UKG Scheduling and Time Administration Project and work processes to ensure legislated changes or altered payroll directives are accurate.
  • Lead all Payroll and Time project phases of the implementation including Discovery, Configuration, Testing, Go-live and Post Go-Live.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams in implementing the UKG Scheduling and Time Administration systems.
  • Collect, document and validate functional requirements, mapping and payroll and time business rules, adhering to all relevant regulations.
  • Identify best practices/lessons learned and document/share internally and with UKG.
  • Provide leadership to the project as it relates to providing interpretation, direction, change management with a focus on continuous process improvement, compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Qualifications
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of UKG and/or Peoplesoft Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation project lead experience (or relevant sized projects) with a focus on time administration, time controls at source, absence management, banked time maintenance and full integration to payroll.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Proven prior project experience in a large multi-union environment.
  • An advanced understanding of common payroll, time and attendance and HCM business practices.
  • Business process mapping experience is preferred.
  • Expert level knowledge of UKG systems and experience with Peoplesoft will be considered an asset.
  • Experience leading and facilitating client workshops and sessions will be an asset.
  • Change Management experience will also be an asset.
