    Job Description

    Work Term: Permanent
    Work Language: French
    Hours: 40 hours per week
    Education: Bachelor's degree
    Experience: 5 years or more Mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
    Work setting: Aerospace industry

    Industry Tasks

    1. Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems
    2. Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs
    3. Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
    4. Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance
    5. Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates
    6. Assess business opportunities and develop strategies
    7. Develop risk management plans
    8. Leading/instructing groups
    9. Commission systems and components
    10. Supervision: 5-10 people

    • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
