Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team.
The Legal Assistant will provide administrative support to our legal team and assist with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our legal department.
Duties:
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather relevant information
- Conduct legal research using various resources, including Lexis-Nexis
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings
- File and organize legal documents and maintain accurate records
- Assist with data entry and document management
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and court hearings
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Coordinate communication between clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in legal matters Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in conducting legal research and using resources such as Lexis-Nexis
- Attention to detail and ability to proofread legal documents accurately
- Proficient in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and scheduling
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment
- Familiarity with legal drafting techniques is a plus Note: All positions at our company are paid positions.
Pay:
$50,884.00-$53,480.00 per year
