Waste Connections of Canada, the leader in non-hazardous solid waste management in North America is looking for a
Customer Service representative to join our team in
London, ON.


We are looking for an SAFETY inclined, energetic, autonomous and proactive team player capable of making a difference in his/her team and community.


Hours:
Monday-Friday 8-5


The Customer Service Representative position receives and processes calls from customers, and serves as single point of contact for customers.

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for resolving customer issues, maintaining a strong customer relationship and providing ongoing services to current customers.

The incumbent must have the ability to handle a high inbound call volume on a consistent basis.


Responsibilities and Duties:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each duty to a satisfactory level. Additional duties may be assigned from time to time. Fields customer service inquires and transactions from multiple lines of business independently and proficiently.

  • Take in bound call from existing and potential customers
  • Confirms understanding of customer needs, issues and requests, by communicating in a concise and accurate manner
  • Listens for and identifies opportunities to cross sell additional products and services
  • Serves as the customers advocate by solving problems on the customer's behalf by engaging the right department and people within the company
  • Uses authorized system to gather information, provide information, and/or update customer records
  • Provide standard information and education regarding service options
  • Perform data entry of sales reps paper work into internal systems
  • Coordinate the set up and installation of new accounts between departments
  • Organize, file and maintain documents and correspondence

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or G.E.
D, and a minimum of
two years Customer Service experience:


  • Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills


  • Computer skills

  • MS Office, typing skills
  • Sales Force knowledge is preferred
  • Professional phone etiquette
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize
  • Ability to react well under pressure and treat others with respect
  • Identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
