Indigenous Health - NORTHERN CAMPUS

4 MONTH TERM PRINCE ALBERT

  • The Indigenous Health unit's Dr. Carrie LaVallie at the First Nations University of Canada is seeking two research assistants on a casual basis to prepare and distribute resource documents related to a research study titled
-
_Moving Across Rural and Urban Aftercare Spaces to Support Healing from Addiction_. The study set out to explore current aftercare services, resources, and gaps in care for people, family, and friends in healing from addiction in Prince Albert. Assistants will speak with service organizations to gather information to support clients in receiving information about aftercare services. There are two casual positions for

4 months working a total of 100 hours each. The salary is commensurate with abilities and experience.

Duties:


  • In the appointment of Research Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be as follows:
  • Gather and analyze information about aftercare services in and around Prince Albert.
  • Meet with organizations to gather information.
  • Prepare information into accessible resources.
  • Coordinate with other team members as needed to meet and discuss ideas and prepare findings.
  • Deliver and write reports and documents; contribute to the documentation and interpretation of results.
  • Contribute to reports and manuscripts.

Qualifications:

Education:Completing a post-secondary degree (Bachelor's Degree) in a relevant field of study. Preferably, in process of graduate studies.

Skills:Good data analysis and reporting writing skills; competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software.

Enrolled at a post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan.
