We are seeking a highly-skilled and motivated Manager to join our finance team and play a key role in driving accurate financial reporting and strategic financial planning.

    The Manager, Financial Reporting and FP&A, will be responsible for overseeing aspects of financial reporting, analysis, and planning, and will play a key role in a dynamic and committed team where each individual's contribution has a direct impact on the success of LHG. Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance, and based in our North York office with a hybrid 3-2 model, the role will have the following ongoing responsibilities:

    Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the monthly/quarterly/annual close process by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting to support internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses and reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate and quality period-end Management reporting and provide variance analyses against forecast, plan and prior year for Senior Management, Operations and Clinics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (within and outside of Finance) to address any discrepancies and streamline reporting processes, as well as to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis.
  • Weekly analysis and insight of revenue trends
  • Regular analysis of hourly, salary, fee for service and indirect labour costs by clinic for cost-savings opportunities or capacity underutilization
  • Analyze/create business case models for new revenue and labour initiatives and quantify the financial impact to aid in decision making within the organization
  • Serve as a finance business partner to clinics across Canada, providing guidance and support to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Participate in the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
  • Work closely with business teams to ensure that initiatives are properly built in the plan and forecasts
  • Drive the continuous improvement of FP&A processes and models to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports, analyses and other duties as assigned to support strategic decision-making.
  • Requirements:

  • CPA, CA, or other accounting/professional designation, or working towards such designation
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong sense of ownership to meet commitments and deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup functions, manipulating large volumes of data).
  • Experience using Sage/Accpac, Vena, and Power BI would be a strong asset
  • Bilingual (French/English) would be a strong asset, as there are Clinics located in Quebec, Canada
