We offer trucking, paving, excavating, sweeper, and crane services in Medicine Hat, branching out to include many other services as wellDuties & Responsibilities
- Carrying out hazard assessments and site inspections
- Communicate legislation, procedures, and practices to workers to ensure safety compliance
- Complete incident and near miss investigations, including the development, implementation, and followup of action items
- Lead safety meetings and joint health & safety committee meetings
- Encourage and promote safe work cultures with a mentoring and team approach
- Maintain a working knowledge of current OH&S legislation, Federal and Provincial laws as well as company standards and policies
- Develop, update and review: Health & Safety manual, policies, procedures, safe job procedures, safe work practices, etc.
- WCB Claims management
- Perform internal COR audits and assisting external auditors
- Develop and implement Temporary Traffic Controls (TTC)
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma
- Valid class 5 Driver's license
- Minimum 2 years health and safety experience
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO)
- Road construction knowledge/experience is an asset
- COR Audit Process
- Diploma, Certification, or a combination of training in Occupational Health and Safety is an asset.
