The job is for the Vice President of the Canadian Trading Team, responsible for growing diversified income in the Canadian market by collaborating with colleagues across North America.
As VP, you will source, negotiate and execute a range of partnerships with the supply-side, set up and maintain core structures of a modern trading organization, lead and grow the Canadian trading team, and ensure that partnerships and opportunities are available to clients for improved business outcomes.
The role also requires contributing to agency development by participating in new business, collaborating across teams, and client and commercial programs.
You will need to have a strong understanding of the media space and tools, as well as finance and compliance processes inherent in a media buying business.
Job Description:
- Managing and delivering the Canadian media income and diversified income budget
- Scaling and launching the Agyle and Amplifi product families in Canada
- Identifying, negotiating, and delivering commercial partnerships with existing and new partners
- Analyzing data to generate strategic revenue opportunities and understanding market patterns
- Collaborating with internal teams to contribute to daytoday strategic work for clients and commercial analysis
- Overseeing financial tracking and reporting of deals and client spend trends
- Establishing strong internal relationships with other service line personnel
- Balancing and prioritizing work associated with multiple, concurrent projects
- Providing guidance to team members and nurturing a team environment
- Setting the standards, tone, and people/process for the wider Canadian trading team
- Approaching problems and issues in a solutionoriented manner
- Engaging with the media industry and proactively delivering innovative ideas
- Demonstrating strong communication skills in oral and written communications, as well as adapting communication style to relevant audiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years of analytical experience within media environment (sales or agency)
- Strong negotiator and advanced numeracy skills
- Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and standardsbased approach to management
- Presence in leading presentations and other forms of client or internal communications
- Strong understanding of the financials of client/agency relationships
- Motivation to participate in agency development and new business
- Excellent track record of maintaining multiple engagements at once and presenting growth opportunities to management
- Serves as an ambassador and demonstrates grace in challenging internal/external scenarios
