Our services include emergency food transitional housing and education for homeless and street-involved youth; hospice palliative care; community mental health programs; and supportive housing programs. This summer student opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - Finance Department

How You Will Make an Impact

Join our dynamic team this summer and contribute to the Good Shepherd Finance Department on a wide array of financial and business projects. This role offers the opportunity to engage in crucial tasks such as preparing, verifying, processing, and reconciling financial data; assisting in the financial reporting for the year-end audit; and managing routine accounting processes, including the processing of accounts payable and monthly reconciliations.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Hiring Criteria - the following criteria is established by Canada Summer Job:

This temporary full-time position is funded by Service Canada for youth between the ages of 15 to 30 years of age.

• Applicants may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as they were 30 at the beginning of the employment period. International students are not eligible participants.
• International students include anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies and who is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada are ineligible.
• Youth awaiting a refugee status ruling, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, youth visa or work visa are ineligible.
