Process Research Scientist:


Main Functions:

Specific tasks associated with this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform literature reviews.
  • Design, execute, and report experiments according to defined objectives and milestones.
  • Communicate project progression to key stakeholders.
  • Write internal R&D reports.
  • Train and supervise trainees and ensure the accuracy of experiments.
  • Collaborate with different departments in the industrialization of processes and products.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment in the lab.

Technical skills:

Required

  • Ph.
D or MSc (+6 years experience) in Food Science, Biochemical engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology or other relevant degree

  • 3 years of experience in a relevant field
  • Experience in R&D project management.
  • Knowledge of downstream process commonly used in the food industry (centrifugation, filtration, homogenization, etc.)
  • Bilingual (English & French) with good skill in technical report writing
  • Relevant computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams etc)

Personal abilities:

  • Selfmotivated and creative in designing and planning experiments
  • Technical aptitude and good troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated time management, organization, planning, and recordkeeping skills
  • Adaptability to a fastpaced teamoriented work environment
  • Good communication skills

General criteria:

Required

  • Ready to travel occasionally (less than 15%) to participate to seminars and work onsite in Bio-Ingredients productions sites as projects require
