  • August 2024).
    Responsibilities
  • We are looking for 23 students to provide support and assistance to the City Leadership team in the areas of research, writing, and policy work. Specifically, you will assist with research projects on current issues and public policy, and prepare correspondence, materials, records and reports. You will also research and prepare notes on internal and external matters for meetings and create presentations.

Requirements:


We are looking for students who have completed post secondary courses in a related discipline and possess strong research and writing skills.

Experience working in local government or a similar environment would be an asset. The demonstrated ability to organise, prioritise and coordinate a variety of tasks and assignments is also required.

Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) is required; knowledge and experience with an electronic Records Management System would be an asset.


Compensation

  • The salary for this exempt position is $27.48 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits (January 2024 rates).
    Hours of Work
  • The hours of work will vary between 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

  • During the recruitment process, applicants will be requested to provide a current Police Information Check (PIC).
