Job Title: General Labourer
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Status: Full-Time
GFL Environmental is looking for a motivated, hardworking General Labourer to join our Abbotsford team. This role is essential to maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and professional appearance of our facility and yard.
Schedule
Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (8 hours per day).
Note: Shift patterns and total hours are subject to change upon completion of the probationary period.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance: Perform general cleanup of the shop and office exterior.
Yard Upkeep: Regular litter pick-up and debris removal to ensure site safety.
Surface Care: Power washing equipment, bins, and walkways; basic painting and touch-up work as needed.
Landscaping: Basic yard maintenance to keep the perimeter tidy.
Growth: Adapt to new operational duties as they are assigned by the supervisor over time.
Requirements
Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions (rain or shine).
Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
Reliability is a must—consistent attendance for the Tuesday–Thursday block is required.
Previous experience in power washing or general maintenance is an asset but not required.
Must be comfortable with the potential for schedule shifts after the initial training/probationary phase.
