    About the Opportunity

    Reporting to the Manager, Continuing Care Policy & Planning, and in collaboration with the Leadership Team (zone directors, senior director, managers) the Senior Analyst contributes to the development of a person-centered, sustainable, high quality continuing care program through analysis, planning and development, project management, operational support, and stakeholder engagement. The Senior Analyst acts as a key player in the planning, development, implementation and monitoring of Continuing Care programs and policies. They are responsible to support all aspects of strategic and operational planning, implementation, monitoring and quality improvement activities assigned within the Continuing Care program.

    As a member of the Policy & Planning team, the Senior Analyst bridges operations, policy, and strategy, confidently moving between the details of service delivery and the strategic goals set out by Continuing Care's leadership team and Nova Scotia Health and government strategies. This is achieved through engaging staff, clients and families, and other stakeholders, applying best practice and informing evidence-informed decision making.     About You

    We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a Health Care Profession, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field required
    • Master's Degree in a Health Care Profession, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification considered an asset
    • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in program planning, project management, strategic planning, and quality improvement required (in health-related environment preferred).
    • Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, internet, email, SharePoint, and the ability to use health information systems for decision support
    • Demonstrated leadership, analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic and systems thinking and decision-making skills
    • Coordination and project management skills with demonstrated ability to create and lead work teams and develop tools and processes that support teams to achieve outcomes
    • Experience conducting literature reviews, environmental scans, and appraisal and synthesis of research and other information to inform service delivery
    • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data and monitor quality and performance indicators and benchmarks
    • Experience working with qualitative and quantitative data and ability to analyze information to identify priorities and emerging issues
    • Superior communication skills (listening, written and oral), with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely, adapting for different stakeholders, audiences, and tools
    • Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred

    • Full Time, Long Assignment; 75 hours bi-weekly

    Compensation and Incentives

    $ $47.01 hourly

    Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
